What is conduction? Conduction is actually the transfer of heat between physical particles of hot matter. Hot matter conduction occurs when hot objects collide with cold objects, they transfer their thermal energy to the colder objects. Like dominoes with tumbling springs, thermal energy passes through objects easily. The friction created breaks the molecules into little packets, each with its own unique thermal radiation.
