How Long Does It Take to Choke Someone

Answer: It takes about a minute to five minutes to choke someone- it varies depending on each individual.

It’s really hard to say how long it takes before the victim dies because it depends on too many factors such as the person’s age and health at the time of death, how hard they were fighting for their life beforehand, if any blood vessels get cut and/or burst in addition to making breathing even more difficult, what caused them to go unconscious (e.g., was it due to putting pressure on their neck or suppressing breathing?), among other things.

When you try to chock someone, the brain automatically releases neuro-inhibits (a natural reaction), so depending on how much they’ve had in their system before that moment, the person can either die instantly from lack of oxygen or be able to hold out until your arms get tired and you need help with them.

This is why it is so difficult for most people – unless they’re trained in martial arts or some form of physical restraint – chances are good that they will not succeed and could end up as an accused murderer when all was going for was just trying to show someone how long they could hold there.
